Iran was defeated by Bahrain in the third West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Women’s Soccer Championship on Monday.

In the match held at the Military Center of Sports Education in Abu Dhabi Iran lost to Bahrain 1-0 in Group A.
Bahrain was heavily defeated 4-1 by Jordan in its opening. Iran can book a berth in the semi-final by a win over Jordan on Wednesday.
In Group B, three teams - Kuwait, Palestine and the host (UAE) - are vying for the two other semi-final spots.
The semi-finals are scheduled for Friday while the final will be on Sunday
