Son of Ayatollah Gharavi Arrested

TEHRAN Ali Asghar Gharavi was arrested in Isfahan in central Iran during weekly Friday prayers at the home of his father, prominent Ayatollah Mohammad Javad Gharavi, AFP quoted a statement issued on Sunday by the Freedom Movement of Iran. The FMI said he was arrested under a warrant issued by a court which deals with criminal offences committed by clerics, but it did not give any reasons for the arrest.
The movement is currently headed by Ebrahim Yazdi, a former foreign minister.
