Supreme Leader pardons 601 convicts

TEHRAN – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Monday pardoned and commuted sentences of 601 prisoners following a request for amnesty by Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani.

The prisoners had been convicted by the civil, military and revolutionary tribunals. The move came on the occasion of the Islamic Republic Day
