TEHRAN – “The Bliss of Knowledge”, a collection of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s comments and guidelines on science, technology and research, was unveiled Saturday during a ceremony at the 28th Moscow International Book Fair.
Iran is the guest of honor at the Moscow fair and the unveiling ceremony took place at Iran’s pavilion attended by Deputy Culture Minister for Cultural Affairs Seyyed Abbas Salehi, Russian author Alexander Andreyevich Prokhanov and a number of Iranian and Russian officials, Persian media reported on Sunday.
Iran’s ambassador to Moscow Mehdi Sanai in his short speech regarded the book fair as a bridge, which connects the people and civilizations of Iran and Russia together.
“A number of famous Iranian and Russian literati are here today and unveiling this book at this ceremony highlights the significance of this cultural event,” he added.
Alexander Prokhanov called it a great honor to be attending the ceremony. He also said that people of his country need spiritual advice and that this book would be useful for them.
The broad guidelines written in the book can be a good guidebook for the people, he added.
He also said that the relations between Iran and Russia have made good progress. Alexander Andreyevich Prokhanov is a member of the secretariat of the Writers Union of the Russian Federation and the author of more than 30 novels and short story collections.
“Iran is the land of the Islamic Revolution, a revolution that was founded by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and emphasized justice, morality and development,” Salehi said in his brief speech.
He hoped that the development of relations between Iran and Russia would lead to a better future.
According to Sanai, the Russian version of the book will also be published in the near future. The Persian edition of “The Bliss of Knowledge” was released by the Islamic Revolution Publications in 2011.
Iran arranged a wide range of programs offering a glimpse of Persian art, culture and literature to visitors of the fair, which ran from September 2 to 6.
