TEHRAN - President Hassan Rouhani on Tuesday handed the government’s plan of resistance economy to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khemenei.

First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri, speaking in the strategic meeting on resistance economy, said if the Leader approves the plan, it will be adopted by all concerned organizations.

Jahangiri said the details of the plan will be announced in the near future, Mehr reported.

Resistance economy is a notion introduced by the Supreme Leader. It stresses minimum reliance on foreign resources in running the country in order to reduce the country’s vulnerability in the face of foreign threats.
