TEHRAN – Iran Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI) will introduce a book containing a selection of poetry composed by the third Imam of Shia, Imam Hussein (AS), at the 24th New Delhi World Book Fair running from January 9 to 17.
Entitled “Bright Moon” the book has been compiled by Davud Komeijani and published in the three languages of English by Rah-e Abrisham Publications, Persian and Arabic, ICFI announced in a press release on Wednesday.“The poems have been translated from Arabic into Persian, English and Urdu, and later have been divided into five different categories: politics, society, family, morals and belief,” Komeijani has written in the introduction section of the book.
“The poetry mostly pays due attention to moral issues and resurrection, and of course it is clear that the concepts of this poetry must be taken into consideration due to the time and conditions of those years in order to better understand the words by Imam (AS).
“Moreover, the collection provides a good chance to get to know another aspect of Imam Hussein (AS) that actually highlights his high feelings and spirit,” the introduction says.
Komeijani is expected to attend the unveiling ceremony of the book in New Delhi.
The Iran Cultural Fairs Institute is attending the fair for the fifth time, offering a wide range of books on Persian art and literature.
