Iran’s long-serving wrestling official laid to rest

TEHRAN - The president of Iran wrestling Institute Javad Rofougar was laid to rest on Saturday.

He passed away on Wednesday due to cancer at the age 66.
Rofougar was laid to rest in Tehran's Behesht-e Zahra cemetery on Saturday.
He was former president of Iranian wrestling federation and led outstanding performances in Iranian wrestling as national team coach and the Secretary General of the federation.
Rofougar also served as a university professor.
During his presidency in Iran wrestling Institute, Iran federation hosted the 2nd International UWW Scientific Symposium during 2014 Greco-Roman World Cup.
