TEHRAN - The Iranian police have launched a security headquarters for the February elections, according to police second-in-command Eskandar Momeni.

He said the division is in close contact with all organizations involved in the elections to secure the elections efficiently, Fars reported on Monday.

He added the police base will also guarantee security in campaign meetings preceding the election day.
