TEHRAN - Ahmad-Reza Talebian from Iran wins a gold medal in the men's kayak single 1,000 meter race on Friday. 

In the 14th Asian Canoe Sprint Championships, which are underway in Tehran, Iran, Talebian snatched the gold with a time of 03:36:27 and also qualified for the London 2012 Olympic Games. 

Athletes from China and Kazakhstan won the silver and bronze medals respectively. 

“I am so tired since I trained hard to win the gold. I would advance to the final round of the Olympic if the Iranian officials pave my way for trainings. If things go well I might get good results in London,” Talebian said.
