“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” translated into Persian
TEHRAN – “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” by American writer Ransom Riggs has recently been translated into Persian by Shabnam Saadat.
The 2011 book tells the story of Jacob, a young boy, who faces a horrific family tragedy. Afterwards, he follows clues, which take him to an abandoned orphanage on a Welsh island.
The book was a New York Times best seller of the Children’s Chapter Books list for over two years.
A film adaptation of the novel was released in September 2016. The film directed by Tim Burton and starring Eva Green and Asa Butterfield had the same title.
Saadat also plans to translate the second and third installment of Miss Peregrine’s series, entitled “Hollow city” and “Library of Souls”.
Parian Publications in Tehran is scheduled to publish the book in the near future.
