TEHRAN – Rasoul Montajabnia has resigned as the deputy secretary general of the National Trust Party, a member of party said on Saturday.

“The central council of the party will make a decision in this respect during the current week,” Mohammad Sadeq Javadihesar said.

He added the resignation followed an intolerance of different viewpoints.

Efforts are being made to convince Montajabnia to change his mind, he said.
