Alireza Ali-Ahmadi appointed NITC’s new managing director

TEHRAN – Alireza Ali-Ahmadi has been appointed as the new managing director of the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC), the company’s Public Relations Department announced.

NITC’s new managing director holds a Ph.D. in Production Management and a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University. He is also a lecturer at Iran University of Science and Technology.

Ali-Ahmadi, who was previously the head of Iran's Oil Industries Engineering and Construction Group (OIEC), was appointed to the post replacing Hossein Shiva, who was the managing director of the company since November 2021.

NITC, which operates the largest tanker fleet in West Asia and has the world’s largest fleet of supertankers, transports Iranian crude and also acts as an independent entity in contracts with foreign concerns for crude oil transportation based on prevailing international freight rates.
