TEHRAN Iranian extremist dissident student Heshmatollah Tabarzadi, recently convicted of acting against state security, was arrested and jailed in Tehran, IRNA said Tuesday.

Tabarzadi, a former leftist who headed a now-banned student magazine, had failed to respond to a summons to appear by Tehran's Revolutionary Court, IRNA said.

He has been jailed several times in recent months.
