Roshanravan: Traditional Iranian Music is Unique
In a ceremony held at Hafez Art and Culture Complex in Shiraz attended by a number of music and art students, Roshanravan said that Iranian music is not just artistic but also unique as they express a person's innermost feelings.
He underlined that at the present time the world is becoming flooded with aesthetic and creative works, but Iranian music is in all aspects still superior to the music of other world countries.
He said that over many periods and different cultural and social situations in history, Iranians have successfully trained experienced and proficient music tutors whose contributions in today's world of music offer a golden and exceptional opportunity for artists to avail of to the utmost.
Pointing to the fact that today people start to learn music at an early age, he said in today's new methods of teaching music even babies just a few months old can learn and perform the most difficult pieces of music.
Unfortunately, he said, the world's musicians are not acquainted with the new methods of teaching and great effort is needed in this regard.
He said that although modern music teachers are at present available, they do not meet the required standards because of lack of experience.
Moreover, he said that in the field of music there are job openings that can only be filled by precise training.
