Tehran Intl. Book Fair to Host Foreign Publishers

TEHRAN -- The 16th Tehran International Book Fair (May 4-14) will host representatives from various countries, said IRNA.

The report released by the Public Relations Department of the fair here on Saturday said that the measure aims to introduce Iranian books to foreigners and provide proper grounds for dialogue among Iranian and foreign publishers and writers.

It added that a number of literary personalities from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, Britain, Germany , and Italy have been invited to attend the upcoming event to exchange views with their Iranian counterparts and discuss prospects of joint cooperation.

Authorities of Frankfurt Book Fair (FBF) will also attend the fair to brief the interested Iranian publishers on ways to attend the FBF. Meanwhile, a number of officials from Berlin Lyrics Association will attend the fair to introduce themselves and hold talks with their addressees and fans of Iranian poetry and literature.

Likewise, Head of the National French Edition Institute Jean Louis Boine has been invited to the upcoming fair to deliver a speech and hold talks with Iranian publishers and inspect their showcased books.

The 16th International Book Fair is to be held at Tehran International Fairground.
