PSO supports private sector’s participation in port-building
As an example of supporting the presence of the private sector in port-building he referred to Aftab Port project currently underway by the sector.
He further said that the port has been so far constructed at the cost of Rls.150 billion, adding, its terminal is presently ready for moving the passengers in the New Year holidays.
The vicinity of the cargo warehouses with the stevedoring places of goods, balancing the activities in other ports of Hormozgan Province, and participation of the private sector in heavy activities were among the purposes behind building the Aftab Port, said Taheri in his visit to this port.
Aftab Port is located 100 km off western Bandar Lengeh, whose construction has been launched by the private sector since 2001.
