Sudan calls for expansion of economic ties with Iran
He urged the officials of Iran and Sudan Joint Economic Cooperation Commission to come together every six months to identify, review and discuss the weak and strong points of the cooperation commission.
Saleh Fedail also explained that the move toward Sudan’s economic development and implementation of joint economic projects with other countries in particular with the Islamic Republic, was on the agenda of the African nation’s government.
For his part, Iran’s Minister of Agricultural Jihad Mohammad-Reza Eskandari who is also the chairman of the 9th Iran and Sudan Joint Economic Cooperation commission noted that, the two sides had agreed to discuss a number of issues including boosting Iranian investor companies’ investment to $200 million and importation of Sudanese industrial meat to Iran.
Saleh Fedail who is leading a Sudanese trade delegation is currently in Tehran to attend the 9th Iran and Sudan Joint Economic Cooperation. The commission was convened on Saturday.
