TEHRAN – The Managing Director of Kish Shipping Services Company (KSSC)Ahmad Karami said here on Saturday that the Kish-Dubai passenger shipping line is launched in order to attract foreign tourists.

He also said that the shipping line is established jointly by the Val-Fajr Shipping Company and the KSSC.

Concurrent with the Eid al-Fitr (the feast marking the end of fasting month of Ramadan) the first group of foreign tourists comprised of 100 people entered the Kish Island.

He said that one great advantage of this sea voyage over air travel is inexpensive ticket.

Karami noted that the ticket price is about Rls.550,000 for the Iranian tourists and 270 dirhams for the foreigners.

The low cost of marine taxes, possibility of transferring some 50 kilograms of luggage free of charge for every passenger, and the capability of carrying some 20 tons of goods are among the other benefits of this shipping line.

The Negin Ship can transfer some 250 passengers and it takes four hours to cruise the 115-mile distance between Kish and Dubai, he said in conclusion.
