Occupiers stationed near Iran border

Khorramshahr Governor’s Office has announced that nearly 100 occupation forces now occupy an area near Iran’s Shalamcheh border.

An official with the office, Mohammad Mojaveri, told IRNA that only Iraqi frontier guards had previously been present along the border.
Over the past week, though, occupation forces have been stationed in proximity to the Shalamcheh border post.
""Around 10 to 15 occupation troops even get as close as the Shalamcheh border post, in an attempt to closely monitor the cross-border traffic of Iraqi passengers and border guards,"" he added.
He stated that the border post had been closed Tuesday, marking the first day of the New Year 2008, with the result that the transit of commercial consignments was halted.
The official did not give any information on the nationality of the troops.
