TEHRAN - A high-ranking Hungarian trade delegation is scheduled to visit Iran in early October in a bid to explore trade opportunities created in the Islamic Republic following its nuclear deal with the world’s major powers.

In a meeting with the Hungarian ambassador to Iran Janos Kovacs, Valiollah Afkhami-Rad, the director of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, expressed hope that given the business environment created in Iran after its nuclear agreement, it is hoped that the country’s economic ties will be enhanced with Hungary.
During the sanctions time, Iran managed to achieve many noticeable successes relying on its domestic capabilities; therefore, today the ground is prepared for the expansion of its economic and trade ties with other countries, the official noted.
For his part, Kovacs said: “We hope that through holding meetings between the two countries’ economic activists, some big steps will be taken for broadening Iran-Hungary bilateral economic ties.”
Meanwhile, during this trip, the Hungarian National Trading House is expected to sign a memorandum of understanding with TPOI for the expansion of trade and commercial cooperation between the two countries.
