National congress to discuss women’s social problems

TEHRAN – The first national congress on social problems of women is to be held on April 30-May 1 at Tehran’s Allameh Tabatabayee University.
Social developments and vulnerabilities, economic and welfare affairs, and higher education and training are pivots of the congress, Mehr reported.
The proposed national budget bill for the next Iranian calendar year 1397, starting on March 21, has allocated 210 billion rials (about $5.2 million) for women’s affairs, an increase of 30 percent year on year.
