Armed forces better prepared following 12-day war, says Iran’s top military command

TEHRAN – Major General Ali Abdollahi, the newly appointed commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, has affirmed that the country’s armed forces are now “more prepared” and equipped with enhanced capabilities following the recent 12-day conflict with Israel and the United States.
Abdollahi was appointed by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei after the martyrdom of Major General Gholam Ali Rashid and his successor Major General Ali Shadmani, both of whom were killed in Israeli strikes on Iranian territory in June.
The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters functions as the unified command of Iran’s military, operating under the General Staff to plan and coordinate joint operations across all branches of the armed forces.
Abdollahi highlighted that Iran’s armed forces are now in a stronger position than before the conflict with Israel.
Reassuring the public, he emphasized that Iran’s military remains ready to safeguard national sovereignty, security, and the achievements of the Islamic Revolution.
“The Armed Forces are always fully prepared to protect the country’s sovereignty, national security, and the achievements of the Islamic Revolution,” Abdollahi said.
The 12-day war began on June 13 when Israel launched a large-scale attack against Iran, killing at least 1,064 people, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians. The United States subsequently carried out airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities, actions widely condemned as violations of international law.
Iran responded with a series of retaliatory operations targeting both Israel and U.S. interests, effectively bringing the conflict to a halt by June 24.
