TEHRAN The Association of Muslim Journalists (AMJ) praised seven newspapers for their timely coverage and invaluable aid to the cause of the Palestinian uprising during the recently concluded Tehran Conference on the Palestinian Intifada.

The newspapers *** Kayhan, Jomhouri Eslami, Qods, Entekhab, Hambastegi, Khorasan and Ettelaat ***** were singled out for their invaluable contribution.

Secretary General of the Association of Muslim Journalists, Abbas Salimi Namin, in separate letters addressed to the managing directors of the abovementioned dailies, said that the Palestinian Intifada is an outstanding cause being supported by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Salimi Namin's letters to the managing directors of the stated Persian dailies further highlighted the decision of the "Evaluation Council and Arbitration" of the AMJ appreciating the coverage given by the dailies to the conference.

Copies of the letters were also presented to the deputy of the Department for Press Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the secretary general of the Intifada conference held in Tehran and the Islamic Republic News Agency.
