TEHRAN, November 18 (Mehr News Agency) – Former Iranian ambassador to Argentina Hadi Soleimanpour returned from London last night.

Soleimanpour who was earlier accused of having a hand in the bombing of the Argentine-Israeli Mutual Association (AIMA) in 1994, was detained in Durham, Scotland.

The Argentine Judge Juan José Galeano, after a nine-year investigation, issued an international arrest warrant for four Iranian government officials including Hadi Soleimanpour.

A British court on August 23, 2003 had ordered his detention. He was kept in custody until his trial.

He was later acquitted of the charges against him and was released.

In the 1994 bombing of the Argentine Jewish center 85 Jews were killed and some 200 others were injured. The Zionist regime and its supporter the U.S. have blamed the Islamic Republic of Iran officials for the blast. RA/SRM END MNA
