CIUDAD REAL, Spain (Reuters) – Spaniard Jose Luis Arrieta won stage 19 of the Tour of Spain from Jaen to Ciudad Real on Friday.

Part of a breakaway of eight riders, the 36-year-old Ag2R rider outsprinted Kazakh Dimitry Fofonov and Swiss David Loosli for the second victory of his career. "After 14 years waiting, I've finally won a stage in a major Tour," Arrieta told reporters.

"I've been holding back all week to try and win this stage."

Kazakh Alexandre Vinokourov continues to lead overall.

The Tour of Spain ends on Sunday in Madrid.
