TEHRAN -- Iranian Culture Minister Mohammad-Hossein Saffar Harandi Tuesday paid a visit to the “Image of Resistance” photo exhibition at the Palestine Museum of Contemporary Art in central Tehran.
The exhibition depicting the Lebanese people’s resistance against Israel during a 33-day war opened to the public on Oct. 20, marking the World Qods Day (last Friday of Ramadan).
The minister considered the museum as a place for keeping worthy works.
Comparing the latest war in Lebanon with the Sacred Defense (1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war), Saffar Harandi said that both Lebanese and Iranians were safeguarding the values of their homelands.
A collection of 150 works by 10 Iranian photojournalists, including Saman Aqvami, Satiar Emami, Payam Borazjani, Majid Saeidi, and Majid Kalhor will be on display until Nov. 11 at the venue on Mozaffar St., near Felestin Square.
