LOS ANGELES As the summer movie season turns up more and more horror film hits, young actress Christina Ricci is set to play in her first adult role in her 20th film, the horror movie Sleepy Hollow. Soon to be 18, Ricci says, I've always loved horror movies, I loved to be scared as a little kid and watch the monster movies.

I think a good healthy dose of fear is good for some kids, if they're not too small. Ricci will star with Johnny Depp in the classic American folk tale based on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow about a headless horseman and a frightened school teacher named Ichabod Crane. She is already appearing in the very adult-themed films Desert Blue and Buffalo 66" this year.

Of course, Ricci is not afraid of taking spooky roles. Her first movies, and her claim to fame, were playing the roles of the stoic daughter in The Addams Family and <169>Family Values<170> films. (AFP)
