Official dismisses secret Iran-Bahrain talks

TEHRAN - An informed source at the Iranian Foreign Ministry has dismissed a news report, claiming that Bahraini and Iranian officials have held secret consultations on the recent protests in Bahrain.

The London-based Al-Zaman daily recently claimed that a Bahraini delegation has travelled to Iran to hold secret negotiations with the Iranian officials on the recent developments in Bahrain.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has adopted a clear stance on the recent developments in Arab countries which has been announced by the relevant officials,” the informed official stated on Sunday.
Now that the region is in a critical condition, the media outlets must be more careful about the spread of information, he said
