Tehran to host computer game festival

TEHRAN -- Milad Tower will be hosting the First Tehran Computer Game Festival running from April 28 to May 2 where Iranian producers will get an opportunity to show off their products.

The festival will give producers a chance to exchange views and provide a place to introduce games into the international market, head of the festival’s public relations office Abbas Habibi said in a press release on Wednesday.
Some international companies and producers have also applied to take part in the festival where they will probably be invited as guests to display their products on the side section program, he added.
So far, over seventy games have been submitted to the secretariat of the festival. We anticipate inviting international companies for the next edition.
The jury members include director of the Festivals’ Organization Mehdi Masudshahi, actor and director Rambod Javan, and computer game experts Babak Namazian, Shervin Ostadzadeh, and Mehdi Zanganeh.
Animators Bahram Azimi and Alireza Golpaygani, as well as experts Alireza Meraji, Amir Saharkhiz, and Farid Farkhondehkish will be judging the artistic section.
The judges will award the best large game, best game play, best online game, best mobile game, best sound and music, best graphic design and best small game this year.
