Photo Festival of Heavenly Frames announces winners

TEHRAN – The Third Photo Festival of Heavenly Frames, which highlights photos of Iranian martyrs and their families, announced winners during a ceremony held at Tehran’s Andisheh Cultural Center on Saturday.

Ahmad Za’fari won the first prize in the Citizenship Section and Mohsen Noruzifar received the first prize in the Professional Section.

Esmat Yadegarian was named the runner-up and Javad Jalali received the third prize in the Citizenship section.

In the Professional section, the second prize went to Hadi Hirbodvash and the third prize was presented to Majid Asagari.

In each section, a number of photographers received honorable mention.

Ali-Asghar Heydarzadeh-Nafe, Azam Nosrati, Maryam Davarnia, Mehdi Abbasi, Saeid Bahramjey, Mohaddeseh Heydari and Ebrahim Alipur received honorable mention in the Citizenship Section.

In the Professional Section, Milad Rostamkhani, Mohammad-Saber Sheikh-Rezaii, Omid Vahabzadeh, Hadi Dehqanpur and Mohammad Rezaii awarded honorable mention.

The Photo Festival of Heavenly Frames is organized annually by Tasvirnet, a major Iranian photo agency, to promote photos of martyrs and victims of the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.

The winning works and a selection of the submissions are currently on display at the Andisheh Cultural Center.
