TEHRAN - The 15-member Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action Review Committee held its first session in parliament on Sunday and picked Alireza Zakani as its chairman.

Mansour Haghighatpour and Vahid Ahmadi were also chosen as the first and second deputy chairmen, according to ISNA.

Hossein Naghavi Hosseini was also elected as the committee’s spokesman.

The Majlis (the parliament) on Wednesday appointed fifteen lawmakers as members of an ad hoc committee to review the July 14 agreement reached between Tehran and the 5+1 group of world powers over Tehran’s nuclear program.

Iranian MPs picked the committee by voting out of 24 lawmakers who had volunteered to become members of group.
