‘Telecom startups in Iran are supported’

TEHRAN – The Faculty of Entrepreneurship of the University of Tehran signed an agreement with Telecommunication Company of Iran in order to support startups active in the field of telecommunication, ISNA reported on Sunday.
Unfortunately startups in Iran face financial problems in the field of software, Faculty of Entrepreneurship Chancellor Mohammadreza Zali lamented.
“We have signed an agreement with the Telecommunication Company of Iran in order to support the telecom startups,” he said.
He expressed his hope that the agreement can be a good support for startups and they can develop their market in the form of startup accelerators.
The accelerators benefit from services provided by the telecommunication infrastructures with more than 50 million subscribers, he said.
Startup accelerators support early-stage, growth-driven companies through education, mentorship, and financing. Startups enter accelerators for a fixed-period of time, and as part of a cohort of companies.
