TEHRAN – The head of Iran Chamber of Cooperatives has said the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is going to increase export-oriented production and consequently improve the country’s economic indicators.

“Iranian companies can take advantage of the free trade agreement between Iran and Eurasia to import raw materials and goods needed by the country and export Iranian goods, which will boost production in the country and increase the indicators of Iran's economy,” Bahman Abdollahi told IRNA on Wednesday.

Referring to the positive effects of the FTA between Iran and Eurasia, Abdollahi said: “In order to expand the trade between the member states of the Eurasian Union and Iran, we must first of all have a suitable, targeted and long-term plan and make the most of the capacities of this region to grow our country's economic activities.”
