TEHRAN – Following the first message from the new Leader of the Islamic Revolution and concurrent with the international Quds Day rallies, the new mural at Tehran's Enqelab Square was unveiled.

The newest design for the Enqelab Square mural depicts the new Leader and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei along with the commanders of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), ILNA reported.

In the mural, the Supreme Leader is shown in a war command bunker, guiding the commanders in battle.

A phrase is also accompanying the image. It reads: “Khamenei once again became the guardian; to break the gate of Khaybar, like (Imam) Ali (AS)”.

The phrase refers to the conquest of Khaybar, one of the most legendary episodes in Imam Ali’s life is his heroism at the Battle of Khaybar (circa 628 CE), which took place between Muslims led by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Jewish tribe in the fortresses of Khaybar in the Arabian Peninsula.

The fortress was heavily fortified and considered nearly impenetrable. After several unsuccessful attempts by Muslim warriors, Imam Ali (AS) was chosen by the Prophet to lead the final battle.

Imam Ali (AS) charged into the battle, tore off the gate of the fortress with his bare hands, and used it as a shield. His actions led to the Muslims’ victory. This moment became a symbol of divine strength, justice, and fearlessness.

The U.S. and Israel attacked Iran on February 28 and have so far martyred over 1,000 people including the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several military commanders as well as civilians, among them women and children.

The attacks prompted a swift response from the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), with missile and drone launches targeting Israel and several U.S. bases in the region, occurring less than two hours after the strikes, which have been intensified in recent days.

Following the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, his son Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei has been appointed as the new Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran by the Assembly of Experts.

Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei published his first message to the Iranian nation on Thursday. The message addressed various themes, including the martyred Leader, the current war, and Iran’s vision for the future.

Mentioning that the country will take revenge for victims of U.S. and Israeli aggression, he declared in the message: “I assure everyone that we will not forgo the revenge owed to our martyrs. This vengeance is not limited to the assassination of the late revolutionary Leader—it extends to every citizen killed by the enemy. Though some initial acts of retaliation have occurred, the effort will continue until justice is fully achieved. We will be especially sensitive regarding the blood of our children. The enemy’s deliberate attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab and similar crimes will receive special attention.”

On February 28, the Shajareh Tayyebeh elementary school in Minab, Hormozgan Province, became the site of a devastating massacre as the U.S. and Israel initiated their strikes against Iran. While dozens of girls and boys aged between 7 and 12 were beginning their lessons, the school was targeted by a missile strike that caused the building to collapse, trapping children and teachers beneath the rubble. Iranian authorities confirmed a final death toll of 185 people, with about 100 others wounded.
