Dear young readers,

Hello, to you once again my little friends and you high school students who I believe are studying hard for your second term examinations. With the diligence and hard work you are putting in I'm sure you will get good mark. Exams may be a painful reality to apply yourselves diligently to them and remember that to be intelligent and of a cheerful character are important in life. An exam tests more than your knowledge. It tests your strength of mind too. So students react badly to the threat of exams. Fear makes them nervous, or they suddenly become sick. This may be because they know they haven't prepared properly. If you studied properly, there should be no reason to cram at the last minute. It is wiser to get a good night's sleep than to stay up till the early hours of the morning and then be half-awake during the exam. Allow yourself enough time to review so that you won't be nervous or frightened at the last minute. The pressure will merely upset you. Simply be confident that you have done and will do your best. It's natural to be nervous and tense, but you should realize that the testing situation occurs throughout the life. You might as well be cool. For those of you who do not make it, remember that there is always a second chance. Try again and don't despair.
Don't forget, a joyful spirit is a good medicine. Good luck!
Yours, Aunt Imelda
