Int'l Trade Fair to Be Set Up in Damavand

DAMAVAND, Tehran Province -- A permanent international trade exhibition is to be set up in Damavand, in Tehran Province, Damavand governor mohsen Safary said on Tuesday.

In an interview with IRNA, he said the decision was made following an agreement concluded between local officials and those of the Commerce Ministry.

Highlighting the region's potentials in agriculture, livestock breeding, tourism as well as the city's industrial capacities, Safary said the fair will put on display products from all over the country.

The proposed Damavand international trade fair, he added, is to be constructed with private sector funds and will be under the supervision of the Commerce Ministry.

He voiced optimism the fair will further develop the region's potentials in agricutlure, industry and tourism.
