Isfahan and Iasi Become Sister Cities

TEHRAN - Isfahan and the city of Iasi in Romania were registered as sister cities during a visit to Romania by members of the Isfahan City Council.
The Official in charge of urban planning of the Isfahan Municipality, Ahmad Mohammadi, met with the mayor of Iasi, Rsile Crosse, and said that registering Isfahan and Iasi as sister cities will pave the way for further development of ties between Iran and Romania.
Crosse also stated that Isfahan is at the same level as modern capitals in Europe and said that Romania and Iran should share their experiences in the field of urban planning.
The Isfahan City Council and Municipality Board were invited to Iasi by Mayor Crosse and arrived in the city on Tuesday.
Iasi is one of the country's main cities. It is located 450 kilometers from the Romanian capital Bucharest.
