TEHRAN –- MP Hamid-Reza Hajbabaii of the Majlis Presiding Board said here on Tuesday that Agricultural Jihad Minister Mohammad-Reza Eskandari will be impeached on October 22.

“The Majlis Presiding Board has received the impeachment motion and it will be presented to the Parliament on its Wednesday meeting,” Hajibabaii told reporters after an open session of the parliament.

Fifty-one MPs have signed a motion to impeach Eskandari, MP Daryush Qanbari said on Monday.

According to a parliamentary investigation, the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad is the most inefficient and the least synchronized with the Majlis, Qanbari told the Mehr News Agency.
