Rafsanjani calls for boosting Iran-Iraq trade cooperation

TEHRAN – Iran’s Expediency Council head here Sunday called for further trade cooperation with Iraq.
In the first international conference entitled ""Reconstruction of Iraq's Economy, Assessment of Investment Opportunities”, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani pointed out, “Cooperation between Iranian and Iraqi businessmen in banking, insurance, investment, and stocks could serve as a model for the region and a motive for setup of an islamic common market in the region.”“Iran’s manpower and security are on desirable level,” added the new chairman of Assembly of Experts.
He also asked the private sectors of two states to make tremendous strides toward economic development in technical and scientific fields.
“Sincere regional collaboration to prepare the ground for private sectors’ cooperation is key to success,” Rafsanjani added.
He underlined security as a necessity for economic development, trade, and exchange of experiences and transfer of technologies
