Iran Tose’e Karaj clinches water polo championship

KUWAIT CITY —Iran’s Tose’e Karaj water polo team defeated Guangdong of China in the 6th Asian Water Polo Clubs Championship final game in Kuwait on Saturday night. 

The Iranian team secured a narrow 10-9 victory over their Chinese rival. It is for the first time that an Iranian team wins the Asian clubs championship.   Iran Tose’e Karaj had already defeated the team 14-10 in the preliminary round.  
Azad University Abhar, another Iranian team, lost to Al-Kuwait and finished fourth.
Altogether eight teams participated in the competitions into two groups of four teams.
