TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said after the removal of sanctions against Tehran following the nuclear deal between Iran and great powers Iranian corporations will be ready to be involved in business activities in Kyrgyzstan.

During a meeting with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev in Tehran on Saturday, Zarif also thanked for Bishkek for its congratulation message over the nuclear agreement.

Atambayev described the nuclear agreement as an important step to help establish stability in the region and called for expansion of ties with Tehran.

On July 14, Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) reached a nuclear agreement in Vienna.

Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Saturday that Iran welcomes expansion of cooperation with Kyrgyzstan at international level.

Given an instrumental use of human rights by Western countries, the cooperation between the two countries in related organizations is very important, Larijani said in a separate meeting with Atambayev.

Elsewhere, he said that prolongation of the nuclear talks between Iran and the six major powers was due to the other side’s excessive demands.

The “inefficiency” of the sanctions was proved by the Iranian people’s resistance and this led to the nuclear agreement, he added.

The Kyrgyz president pointed to the commonalities between the two countries and called for close cooperation with Iran.

Atambayev also said that the nuclear agreement opens new chapter in Iran’s relations with the other countries.
