TEHRAN — The 95th station on the southern section of the line 3 of the Tehran Subway will be inaugurated on Monday, the Tehran Urban and Suburban Railway Company’s public relation director, Ali Akbar Ruhnavaz, said on Saturday.

The opening ceremony will be held with the participation of MPs, City Council members, and some other officials, Ruhnavaz added, IRNA news agency reported.

“The station has two separate entrances and eight escalators with a platform stretching 160 meters,” he explained.

Around 30,000 cubic meters of concrete and 5,000 tons of reinforcing bars have been used to construct this station, he noted.

About 30,000 passengers can use the line 3 on a daily basis once the new station comes on stream, Ruhnavaz said.

“The remaining stations of the line 3 will be inaugurated one after another in the near future,” he highlighted.
