U.S. urges Latin American countries not to deepen Iran ties

TEHRAN – U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland urged Latin American countries on Friday not to deepen ties with Iran. 

She made the remarks when asked about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s decision to set off on a five-day tour of the Latin American countries of Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba, and Ecuador on Sunday, January 8.
