Rezaei advises Rouhani not to be soft on U.S.

TEHRAN — The Expediency Council secretary has warned President Hassan Rouhani against the dangers of taking a soft line toward the new U.S. government, IRIB reported on Wednesday.

In a letter to Rouhani, Mohsen Rezaei said a soft attitude towards the U.S. government could undermine Iran’s national security and be misconstrued as a weakness.

“With the Trump administration taking office in the U.S.” along with adventures of “Israel and Saudi Arabia, things have changed in the region and your administration should be more vigilant than ever,” the former IRGC chief stated.
