Ex-Iran boxer in coma after car accident

Former Iran boxer Ata Alizadeh is in a coma following a horror car accident.

The 32-year-old lightweight boxer had an accident in his car in Iranian city of Nashtarud, the northern province of Mazandaran.

"Thoughts and prayers are with Ata Alizadeh and his family. Wishing him a speedy recovery," head of Iran’s Boxing Federation Hossein Thori said.

According to reports, he remains in a critical condition.
