TEHRAN – On Monday, Iran resumed issuance of visas on arrivals for Indian passport holders following some four years of halt, Mehr reported.

The new policy is implemented months after India started granting such privilege to Iranian travelers at New Delhi and Mumbai airports, the report said.

For the time being, citizens of about 190 countries can obtain visa on arrival at Iran’s international airports with one-month validation.

Filled from corner to corner with ancient bazaars, mosques, gardens and museums, Iran hosts some of the world’s oldest historical monuments, 23 of which inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
