IRGC inaugurates 5,400 projects in underprivileged areas

TEHRAN — The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) inaugurated some 5,400 projects implemented in underprivileged areas across the country, IRIB reported on Tuesday. 

Aboulqasem Mansouri, an official with IRGC, said that the projects include building and rebuilding housing units, building bridges and roads in villages, providing electricity access to remote areas, building schools and mosques, dredging qanats and rivers, developing fish farming pools and poultry breeding farms, developing greenhouses and supplying water to some villages. 

The projects are inaugurated on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution (1979), Mansouri added.

According to the report concurrent with the inauguration of the aforesaid projects thousands of employment plans were also provided to the residents of the underprivileged areas. 

The projects were inaugurated simultaneously over a video conference with Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Mohammad Ali Jafari in attendance.
