TEHRAN – Iran’s blind football team will participate at the 2026 IBSA Men´s Blind Football Asian Championship Division 1.

In line with the series of technical meetings for the disciplines participating in the 5th Asian Para Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, a meeting dedicated to the blind football discipline was held.

It was decided that the blind football national team would depart in March to participate in the Blind Football Asian Championship Division 1 in Osaka, Japan. This event serves as a preparatory activity for the 2026 Asian Para Games and also as a qualification event for the World Championships, giving Iran’s representatives the opportunity to take the first step toward qualifying for the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympic Games.

The fifth edition of the Asian Para Games will take place from October 18–24, 2026 with about 4,000 athletes from 45 countries, across 18 sports, hosted by Japan in the city of Nagoya, Aichi Province.
