Ex-CIA chief says Trump is lying that Iran wants a deal
Brennan calls Trump pathological liar and corrupt
TEHRAN - Former CIA director John Brennan has sharply criticized President Donld Trump, calling him dishonest, incompetent and corrupt, and linking those traits to his handling of the war that he has started against Iran in coordination with Israel.
In retaliation to the illegal war, Iran has closed the strategic Strait of Hormuz that links the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman to the owners of commercial ships that support Trump’s war against Iran.
“There’s this toxic mix of traits that Donald Trump has which is he’s a pathological liar, he’s incompetent on so many fronts, and he’s also deeply corrupt which I think is now being manifested in terms of the gulf war,” Brennan wrote in a post on social media.
In an interview with on MS NOW on Monday, Brennan also said, "Well, I tend to believe Iran more than I do Donald Trump, because he could not acknowledge the truth even when it is — he's slapped in the face with it repeatedly."
He also said "And it's clear that, you know, he is flailing right now. He's trying to figure out how he's going to get out of this debacle that he has created."
The former CIA chief also said Trump is lying that Iranian wants a deal to end the war.
"And so he's going to make these claims about negotiations; that the Iranians now are sending signals that they really want to make a deal, and indicates they’re going to make a deal on our terms," he continued. "I don’t think anything close to the truth is in that statement."
Some two weeks ago Brennan also said Trump is “whining” about the war against Iran and clueless about next steps.
