Majlis to Debate Bill to Provide Definition for Political Crime

TEHRAN Majlis on Wednesday decided to debate a bill to reach consensus on specified definition for political crime next week (on Monday).
Several MPs put forward the bill to this effect and none of the MPs expressed objection to it so that it was put to voting and approved to debate.
MP Mohammadreza Saeedi said the MPs sponsored the bill to provide the Judiciary with a clear-cut definition for political crimes.
He said the draft will help the Judiciary to deal with the political crimes straightforwardly.
The MP alleged that the Judiciary brings evasive charges against those accused of political crime due to absence of a specified definition for the political crime.
